Zatoichi our hero is nursed back to health by a young woman after he was shot by a gang member. Zatoichi arrives in the town to repay his death to the young girls father, hence he pledged himself as and aid with his extraordinary skills to protect the river crossing service that was under attack by the same gang responsible for his past wounds.
