Elsa enjoyed an excellent film career starring in many classics such as FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL, LEGEND OF 8 KNIGHTS, WANDERING DRAGON and THE DESPERATE KILLER. This female Classic Lady of Kung Fu has also starred in many rare hard to find classics such as THRILLING SWORD, SEVEN KNIGHTS, THE BREAKTHROUGH and SHANGHAI MASSACRE. Elsa Yeung's memorable roles are LIFE OF A NINJA (co-starring Chen Kuan Tai), GREATEST PLOT and CHALLENGE OF THE LADY NINJA. Elsa's career ended in the late 80s with a rare movie by the name of GOLDEN NINJA WARRIOR. Elsa Yeung is a Classic Lady of Kung Fu from the late 70s - early 80s genre and will be remembered for her classic role in ISLAND WARRIORS co-starring with Wang Tao.

Maggie Cheung originally began as a model and she became famous after she competed in the Miss Hong Kong contest. Her first film was PRINCE CHARMING by director Wong Jing, however afterwards she was contracted to 2 years of TV work. Despite the TV work Maggie also seemed to be busy with film acting roles as well, however she always seemed to be cast the same type of roles, until AS TEARS GOES BY with Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung. This opened the eyes of many to Maggie Cheung's acting talent, although she did previously have another major acting role in POLICE STORY 1 as Jackie Chan's girlfriend, which also seemed to boost her career. Some of Maggie Cheung's greatest films are POLICE STORY1&2, BAREFOOT KID, HEROIC TRIO, TWIN DRAGONS and MOON WARRIORS, although it does seem that Maggie Cheung like many other Chinese female actresses preferred playing dramatic roles as opposed to action roles. Maggie Cheung's latest Movie is HERO alongside Jet Lee and many other major Hong Kong stars.

Moon Lee's career began like many others, with TV work. She started shortly after she completed her education. She on a few TV shows such her first, EFFECTION ON EARTH. Although Moon Lee did have an intro appearance in the movie TO SIR WITH TROUBLES her first actual movie was ZU: WARRIORS FROM THE MAGIC MOUNTAIN, where she co-starred alongside Yuen Biao, Meng Hoi and Brigitte Lin, who were Hong Kong superstars at the time. Afterwards she was cast 2 other roles in that year before being re-cast with Yuen Biao again in THE CHAMPIONS. Moon Lee also had the privilege of co-starring with Jackie Chan in an international Film for Warner Brothers, THE PROTECTOR. Although throughout this time Moon Lee was not yet portrayed as an action actress, however her upcoming film ANGELS was soon to change this. After Moon Lee completed Angel her career changed dramatically from the cute-girl-in-need type to Femme Fatale action and she later made more angel movies such as ANGELS 2, ANGELS 3, KILLER ANGELS and REVENGE OF ANGEL. many other Angel titled films where also made that did not include Moon Lee or her screen partner Yukari Oshima.

Yukari Oshima often also referred to as Cynthia Luster, is originally Japanese however she has played a MAJOR role in Hong Kong Cinema from the Late 80's to Late 90's. Yukari at first had a healthy start to her career in Japanese Television this was after she trained with Sonny Chiba, learning how to do stunts. However Judging by Yukari's Filmography, it seems that she preferred acting in Hong Kong Cinema as opposed to Japan. She got her first chance when a ascociate of her martial arts instructor, Yusuaki Kurata (another Japanese superstar in China) invited Oshima to a screen test for the movie MILLIONAIRES EXPRESS, which already had a huge star cast. Yukari managed to get a role beside Hong Kong superstars Hwang Jan Lee and Yusuaki Kurata as a female Japanese samurai, although it was only a small supporting role. Yukari then got the chance to act in many more films. Interestingly Yukari unlike many other Chinese female actors, seemed to prefer the action roles she was given as oppose to others such as Moon Lee who would have preferred to be given a heavy drama role instead of the action roles she would usually get, however it seems we in the west prefer Yukari and Moon's action fliks, especially when they pair up together. Such as ANGELS, A SERIOUS SHOCK YES MADAM, KICKBOXER'S TEARS, MISSION OF JUSTICE and BEUATY INVESTIGATORS.

Joyce Godenzi, It is said that it wasn't her intention to get famous on the screen at all. It was actually the Miss Hong Kong Pageant that got her famous. After that she received many other movie offers. Unfortunately Joyce hasn't made a great amount of movies, however the movie she has made are memorable ones. Such as SHE SHOOTS STRAIGHT and SPOOKY SPOOKY however one of her greatest roles is in the film EASTERN CONDORS by Sammo Hung, where she plays a vicious, cold blooded soldier. It seems Sammo Hung purposefully made Joyce look as vicious as possible ignoring all femininity. Joyce is now said to be married to Sammo Hung.

Anita Mui was talented from young as she began entertaining by singing and dancing to make money after her father died. Anita first made her way to stardom through her musical talent, as she sang many movie themes. She also managed to sing for the 1986 New year celebration. However not only was Anita's Musical talent excellent but also her acting talent. As she first appeared in MAD MAD 83. She also appeared beside Chow Yun Fat in 100 WAYS TO MURDER YOUR WIFE and SCARED STIFF, alongside Jackie Chan in MIRACLES, DRUNKEN MASTER 2 and RUMBLE IN THE BRONX, Tsui Hark also cast her in A BETTER TOMORROW 3. She was later cast beside Sammo Hung in Shanghai Shanghai and also Yuen Biao, Meng Hoi, Moon Lee and Brigette Lin in MOON WARRIORS and even Jet Lee in MY FATHER IS A HERO. Some of Anita's greatest movies are MOON WARRIORS, HEROIC TRIO, HEROIC TRIO 2: EXECUTIONERS, SAVIOUR OF THE SOUL and DRUNKEN MASTER 2. Sadly Anita Mui recently passed away, however after such a successful career Anita can never be forgotten.

Cynthia Khan originally Yeung Lai Ching which has no relation to her screen name, which was probably due to the fact that Dickson Poon was searching for a Michelle Yeoh replacement at the time, because Michelle Yeoh had gone into temporary retirement. She was re-named by Dickson Poon as Cynthia Khan, which was in fact a cross between the two names Cynthia Rothrock and Michelle Khan (AKA Michelle Yeoh). Cynthia first ambition was dancing. She wanted to become a dance teacher. But however she suffered a injury and didn't manage to fulfill her ambition. Cynthia Khan's first major film was IN THE LINE OF DUTY 3: FORCE OF THE DRAGON which proved to be such a success that over 4 sequels were soon to follow, although Cynthia was in 2 Taiwan films before. Despite Cynthia's excellent acting skills, the total amount of films she has ever been in is unfortunately small. However out of that small amount of films, she has quite a few classic films. Such as IN THE LINE OF DUTY 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, TIGER CAGE 2, ZEN OF SWORD, DEAD END OF BESIEGERS, TOUGH BEAUTY AND SLOPPY SLOP and 13 COLD BLOODED EAGLES.

Sibelle Hu is an amazing actress with many talents, however us in the west don't seem to give her much attention at all. Although she has starred alongside many of the screen greats such as Samo Hung, Jet Li, Yuen Biao, Jackie Chan and also Shaw Brothers Super-Star Ti Lung. Sibelle Hu Began her career in mainly dramatical films. However Sammo Hung saw a different side of Sibbele Hu as casted her hirst fighting role in MY LUCKY STARS. This would inspire other director to do the same for Sibelle. By 1988 Sibelle career began to pick up speed. She Seemed to have 6 hectic year of film work, sometimes being cast in over 6 films in one year. Some of Sibelles greatest roles are in FONG SAI YUK (Jet Lee), TWINKLE TWINKLE LUCKY STARS and INSPECTOR WEARS A SKIRT. Sibelle's last film was TAI CHI 2 with Jacky Woo. Afterwards she got married and retired from the film industry.

Michelle Yeoh is among (if not) the most successful Hong Kong actress among them all. Her career reached Hollywood where she was cast as the leading lady beside the Pierce Brossman in one of the James Bond movie series. Michelle's career started similar to Maggie Cheung in a Beuty Pageant in Malaysia although it was not her intention to start acting. She apparently wanted to start a ballet dancing school, However similar to Cynthia Khan, Michelle suffered from a injury and her doctor told her that it was better for her not to do anything physical at all. Michelle's first screen work was a commercial with Jackie Chan. She was then contracted to D&B for a while. Her first movie called OWL VS DUMBO by Samo Hung. Afterwards she was cast in IN THE LINE OF DUTY 1 aka YES MADAM by Corey Yuen Kwai (So Close). which was also ironically Cynthia Rothrock's first film. Despite Michelle's background lacking any martial arts experience she seemed to perform quite well onscreen, however her previous dance skills do seem to have served her well as she was taught on set. During the filming of IN THE LINE OF DUTY 2 aka ROYAL WARRIORS Michelle was said to have suffrered major injuries from the intense filming and she swore never to make another action film again, however she changed her mind and began work on THE MAGNIFICENT WARRIORS up against Wang Jang Lee. Michelle then retired temporarilly and married Dickson Poon the owner of D&B, however a few years later they split up and Michelle was back to actiang and started POLICE STORY 3 : SUPERCOP afterwards Michelles acting career was right back on track as she was cast in classics such as WING CHUN with Donnie Yen, HEROIC TRIO with Anita Mui and Maggie Cheung also HEROIC TRIO 2: EXECUTIONERS featuring the same trio Michelle, Maggie and Anita, Tai Chi Master Alongside Jet Lee and Butterfly and Sword. Michelles most recent work is THE TOUCH which was made in Hollywood. Hopefully we'll see more of Michelle in Hollywood and Hong Kong in the years to come.

Brigette Lin is a dazzling actress that has had an amazing and successful career of 20 years. Brigette like many other great female actresses in Hong Kong, Brigette had no ambition of becoming an actress, It was a mere co-incedence that a director noticed Brigrtte as she accompanied a friend to a film audition. She was later cast as a schoolgirl in the movie. Brigette quickly became famous as she was casted in more that 5 Films in that same year, however Brigette was cast mainly dramatical roles as opposed to action roles in the first 5 years of her career. Her fighting persona was developed soon after Tsui Hark cast her in ZU: WARRIORS OF THE MAGIC MOUNTAINS which was a major Box Office Hit. She was later approached by Jackie Chan to star in Police Story. Brigettes career began to really take course as she was cast with screen greats like Andy Lau in THREE SWORDSMEN and alongside Jet Lee in SWORDSMAN 2.

Joey Wong is another dazzling actress, she is well known for the part she played in A CHINESE GHOST STORY, which gave her a ghastly image on screen and was put to further use in Episodes 2 and 3. Joey Wong was more of a dramatical actor as opposed to a action actress, however all her roles were'nt mere drama roles as we see in THE EAST IS RED beside Brigette Lin and also beside Jackie Chan in CITY HUNTER. Due to A CHINESE GHOST STORY's success Joey was cast a few more ghastly roles such as A CHINESE GHOST STORY 2 and 3, A PICTURE OF A NYMPTH with Yuen Biao and ETERNAL COMBAT with Lam Ching Ying. With the success of Joey Wong it's not a suprise that so many other ghost story movies were made.

Michiko is more than just meets the eye. Not only is she a actress, but also a businness woman and she is quite financially secure as she owns several gyms in Japan. She appeared several times onscreen in Japan before Jackie Chan invited her to play a small role in the film MY LUCKY STARS. Michiko did manage to get some excelent roles beside some screen greats such as in GOD OF GAMBLERS beside Chow Yun Fat and Andy Lau. She was also cast alongside Lam Ching Ying in MAGIC COP aka MR. VAMPIRE 5 and Frankie Chan, Mok Siu Cheung and Yukari Oshima in OUTLAW BROTHERS. However Despite the success of GOD OF GAMBLERS Michiko didn't seem to be cast in many more HK classics. Hopefully we'll see her appear on screen again soon
